Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist

This position is primarily responsible for managing accounts payable functions, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in an environment that values accuracy and organization. This is a Full-Time,IN PERSONposition.Starting at $20.00/hr and will Depend on Experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices for multiple business entities accurately and efficiently
• Code invoices to the correct entity, department, and general ledger accounts
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, as applicable
• Verify proper approvals and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal staff
• Prepare and process payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve variances
• Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior A/P experience and/or associate degree in accounting or related fieldpreferred
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and A/P best practices along with strong math skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization with ability to self-review work
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
