Addison Group in Oldsmar, FL is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire role. You will join a high-volume, multi-entity accounting team and manage full-cycle AP while working independently in a fully in-office setting.

The ideal candidate will handle a high volume of invoices across multiple ERP systems, communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams, and support month-end close. This position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience in high-volume, multi-entity AP environments.
• Proficiency with multiple ERP/accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a larger accounting team.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Verify invoice approvals, POs, and supporting documentation before processing.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice status and payments.
• Process expense card transactions and check requests per policy.
• Reconcile AP accounts and assist with month-end close including accruals.
• Reviewinvoice exceptions, duplicates, and require additional approvals.
• Monitor aging reports and research outstanding balances for timely resolution.
• Support new vendor setup and maintain vendor records.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance and operations to ensure timely payments.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities.
