Job summary

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to manage invoices, vouchers, and payment processing with precision and confidentiality. You will maintain vendor records, assist with year-end 1099s, and collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and program departments to ensure accurate coding and timely payments.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, bookkeeping, purchasing, or related finance functions.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn other software.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, approvals, POs, vendor records, ACH payments, and credit card transactions.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices, vouchers, POs, ACH requests for completeness, accuracy, coding, and approvals.
• Process vouchers and accounts payable checks, ACH payments, and other approved methods.
• Maintain accurate AP records, including filing, scanning, and documentation.
• Manage vendor records and ensure accurate contact, remittance, tax, banking, and contract details.
