Job summary

Arcwood Environmental, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist II to manage supplier invoices, ensure accurate coding, and perform 3-way matching with receiving documents and purchase orders. The role emphasizes timely payments, tax compliance, and improved AP processes.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in AP, billing, or AR, with a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and the ability to work with GL codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, billing or accounts receivable (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices for all types of transactions including PO, non-PO, projects and check requests
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, receiving docs and POs with problem-solving for mismatches
• Review account coding with GL codes and departments to ensure accuracy
• Determine sales tax applicability and exemptions on vendor invoices; self-impose use tax where necessary
• Enter manual payments for EFT/PCard and process expedited payments as needed
• Process interfaces and review payments for accuracy
• Resolve payment application issues and old outstanding checks; investigate and prevent recurrence
• Run aging reports and research outstanding payments
• Manage pay cycle process within the financial system and troubleshoot errors
• Create payment files, upload files, print and mail checks
• Maintain SOPs and training records
• Assist in streamlining AP processes and achieving metrics
• Take on additional duties to support the team and organization
