Job summary

North End Waterfront Health in Boston is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure invoices are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with policies. You will guide day-to-day AP activities and collaborate with colleagues to keep vendor payments moving smoothly.

The role supports month-end close, audits, and vendor accounting, handling high-volume invoicing while maintaining precise records and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of accounts payable experience.
• Education cannot be substituted for the required education.
• Experience with invoices, payments, vendor management, and ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, data-entry, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to process high volume invoices and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight for accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and policy compliance.
• Review vendor invoices for completeness, coding, authorization, and PO/receiving alignment.
• Coordinate invoice approvals, follow up on items, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including payment terms and tax information.
• Monitor invoice entry in ERP and oversee vendor payments by check, EFT, and wire transfers.
• Review reconciliations and vendor statements, monitor outstanding balances, and support issue resolution.
• Serve as a resource to AP staff, prioritize workflow, and support month-end/year-end close and audits.
