Job summary

Seneca is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to manage vendor invoices, employee expenses, and credit card reports, ensuring timely payments and accurate coding. The role includes monthly reconciliations, vendor inquiries, and supporting audits.

The position is full-time, hybrid with in-person Oakland Thursday duties, starting salary $32.78–$35.28 per hour, with annual raises and benefits including PTO, holidays, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• Associate's degree +1 year experience considered.
• HS diploma +2 years experience acceptable.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to pass a computer assessment.
• Preference for Sage Intacct, Paymerang, Emburse Professional, FloQast.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process invoices and employee reimbursements accurately.
• Ensure proper coding and approvals per policy.
• Reconcile credit card transactions with supporting docs.
• Maintain vendor and employee records.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.
• Process payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer; upload positive pay files.
• Assist month-end closing by preparing accruals.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation; prepare weekly disbursement summaries.
