Job summary

Quadel is seeking a Finance Specialist to support the Housing Choice Voucher program and maintain general accounting duties. You will ensure accurate financial records, run reconciliations, and prepare reports for HUD, VMS, and FASS.

The role collaborates with landlords and tenants, monitors cash flow, and assists with month-end close and audits. A degree in accounting and 3–5 years of related experience are required, with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required and 3–5 years' experience in fiscal management of a program.
• Must complete and maintain industry certifications relevant to HCV accounting when applicable.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, ledgers and journals; AP/AR and related statements.
• Experienced in compiling and organizing management and financial reports.
• Working knowledge of data processing applications related to financial management.

Responsibilities

• Supports SEMAP and contractual standards in all financial activities.
• Prepares data for HAP checks and obtains signatures before releasing files to generate HAP.
• Examines, reviews and analyzes information for disbursement of funds and reconciliations.
• Generates required accounting, statistical, and narrative reports for HUD, VMS and FASS; monitors HCV leasing forecasts.
• Interacts with HUD, landlords, and tenants on housing assistance payments.
• Performs month-end close, audits, and assists with audits and quality control.
