Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team in Liberty, MO. The role focuses on accurate processing of vendor invoices, high-volume AP transactions, and maintaining strong general ledger integrity.

You will support month-end close, assist with audits, and collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable and related fields.
• Experience handling high-volume AP transactions and general ledger activities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data accuracy.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices and credit memos with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger and related GL accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for AP transactions.
• Assist month-end close and provide documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with procurement, AR, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with policies.
