Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Processor to deliver accurate, timely payments and exceptional service to internal teams and external partners.

The role reports to the Group Supervisor of Accounts Payable Operations within the Accounting and Contracts Division and supports multiple AP functions in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 6+ years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with 1+ year, or a Bachelor's degree.
• Broad knowledge in Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Procure-to-Pay.
• Self-starter who thrives independently and in a team.
• Curious with initiative and improvement mindset.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Understanding IT solutions including ERP (Oracle) and Procure-to-Pay platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal departments.
• Respond to inquiries on invoice status, payment timing, and discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
• Manage the full invoice processing cycle: receive, review, approve, remit, pay.
• Verify invoice header information and PO line matching.
• Ensure supplier invoices comply with PO/subcontract terms and resolve discrepancies.
• Resolve moderately complex invoice holds (price/quantity variance, tax withholding).
• Apply state and federal tax withholding policies to applicable invoices.
• Compile data and prepare AP reports.
• Support airfare charges on the Corporate Travel Card; perform ad hoc duties; participate in strategic goal teams.
