Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk / Specialist to join our Finance team in San Diego, CA. This role supports the full AP process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, coded correctly, and paid on time according to company policies and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 1–5+ years of AP experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and familiarity with Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Code invoices to GL accounts and cost centers.
• Ensure invoices are approved per policy and authorization requirements.
• Match invoices with POs, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Maintain AP records for audit purposes.
• Organize and archive electronic and physical invoice files.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payments.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and tax documentation.
