Job summary

Summit Farms seeks an Accounts Payable professional to manage invoice entry and weekly AP processing across its entities. You will ensure invoices are coded and paid timely, and that spending is approved by the proper authority.

You will distribute AP reports for managerial approval and coordinate payments with Treasury, while maintaining vendor data and supporting audits. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience plus four years in accounting.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) preferred.
• Strong time management, detail orientation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Office setting with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process all invoices timely and accurately.
• Code invoices correctly and pay by the responsible entity.
• Verify spending has been approved by the appropriate authority.
• Distribute AP reports to managers for final approval before coordinating payment with Treasury.
• Vendor management and payment: pay on time, maintain vendor information, collect W-9s and COIs, keep records current.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies promptly.
• Support the Accounting team with fixed assets, debt amortization schedules, and special projects.
• Improve processes and maximize ERP usage (Dynamics 365 BC).
• Research and provide supporting documentation for annual audits.
• Follow established procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
