SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, TX. The role involves processing vendor invoices, handling portal documents, and ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.

You will collaborate with the finance team to support month-end close, maintain internal controls, and assist with 1099s for vendors and contractors. The ideal candidate has 2+ years AP experience and strong Excel skills.

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Associate's degree or Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and research capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organized with strong time management abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Process and manage incoming vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Retrieve electronic documents and invoices from vendor portals and systems.
• Respond to interdepartmental inquiries regarding policies and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure prompt processing, payment, and accounting of trade payables with correct coding.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors and resolve invoice issues.
• Support month-end close with finance team.
• Adhere to internal controls and procedures for AP to ensure compliance.
• Review and verify time and expense submissions for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assist in annual preparation and distribution of 1099s to vendors and contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Process andmanage incoming vendor invoiceswith accuracy and efficiency.
• Retrieve electronic documents andinvoicesfrom various vendor portalsand systems.
• Address day-to-day accounts payable inquiries and researchrequests, includingresponding tointerdepartmental questionsregardingpolicies and documentation requirements.

Qualifications
