Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract 1 year) in Washington, D.C. This in-office role requires handling full cycle AP in a complex, quasi-federal environment and offers contract-to-hire potential after Year 1.

Location is Washington DC with an in-office schedule of 3 days per week. Pay is $30–$35 per hour. Ideal candidate has 3+ years of full cycle AP, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Full Cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Independent worker and team player.

Responsibilities

• Process payments and reconcile invoices and statements.
• Prepare vouchers and obtain approvals; enter data into GL systems.
• Maintain payment policies, ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor aging reports and assist with monthly close.
• Provide vendor inquiries support and issue resolution.
