Job summary

River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage vendor invoices, payments, and documentation using Bill.com and Jonas Accounting Software.

You will handle ACH, virtual card, and check payments, maintain vendor records, and assist with month-end processes in a fast-paced club environment. This is a full-time role with overtime during busy periods and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bill.com is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role.
• Understanding basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required.
• Hospitality experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices through Bill.com with proper coding and approvals.
• Monitor electronic approval workflows and follow up with managers for timely approvals.
• Process vendor payments via ACH, virtual card, and checks according to schedules.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status and inquiries.
• Ensure invoices and documents are scanned and integrated into JONAS Accounting Software.
• Verify postings to the general ledger in a timely manner.
• Administer and reconcile credit card transactions and monthly statements.
• Maintain vendor records and tax reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and audits.
