Job description

Are you interested in expanding your accounting career in the South San Francisco area? This is a great opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. LHH is working with a large Biotech company known for innovation.

Responsibilities:

1. Enter inventory invoices in the accounting system
2. Process employee expense reports
3. Assist in preparing payments to third parties, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
4. Assist with vendor management
5. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
6. Assist with month-end tasks, including preparing the AP aging schedule and closing the Payables subledger
7. Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers
8. Maintain records of payments received and record in the accounting system
9. Track and distribute corporate credit cards to employees
10. Respond to credit card inquiries and resolve issues promptly
11. Handle accruals
12. Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (a plus)
• Five or more years of experience
• Experience with SOX compliance
• Biotech industry experience
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Commitment to equity and inclusion
