Role Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies and procedures. Day-to-day tasks include reconciling accounts payable transactions, preparing and posting accounting journal entries, reviewing and auditing expense reports for compliance, and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies. The specialist will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, maintain organized financial records, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves assisting with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in accounts payable processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and posting Journal Entries (Accounting) and reconciling related accounts.
• Candidates should possess experience managing and reviewing Expense Reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to identify discrepancies, interpret financial data, and support process improvements.
• Relevant qualifications include prior accounts payable or general accounting experience, proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, and strong attention to detail.
