Job summary

Crayex Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices, payments, and expense reports while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The role supports the Piqua, OH and McDonough, GA locations in a full-time, on-site capacity.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of AP experience in a manufacturing setting, with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and IQMS or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, IQMS preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of GAAP and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and match them to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Review vendor statements and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and issue check runs and ACH payments per policy.
• Code receipts to credit card statements and maintain organized AP records.
• Assist month-end close and coordinate with Procurement/Receiving to resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations.

Description

Crayex Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports while maintaining strong vendor relationships . Successful candidate will require attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations. This role will support the Piqua, OH and McDonough, GA locations.

Crayex is a leading manufacturer of polyethylene plastic film and sheet products, serving a variety of industries with high-quality solutions. With manufacturing facilities in Piqua, OH, and McDonough, GA, we are dedicated to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

This is an on-site, full-time office-based position, located in Piqua, OH.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (extended hours as needed).

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and match them to purchase orders and/or receiving documents, ensuring proper authorization and accuracy.
• Review and verify vendor statements, reconciling discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and execute check runs, ACH payments per company policies.
• Match and code receipts to corresponding credit card statements.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all AP transactions.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently.
• Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all expenses are recorded in the proper period.
• Work closely with Procurement and Receiving to resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls related to accounts payable.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. This position requires experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
• Computer skills, ability to work in various vendor customer portals.
• Experience with ERP systems (IQMS preferred) is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
