Job description

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team as we transition to a new ERP system, P21, with a go-live date set for the end of October. This role involves specializing in managing employee expenses, credit card payments, and general telecom and utilities expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process high volumes of invoices, approximately 2,500 per week.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel at a basic level.
  • Utilize electronic scanning and file storage systems.
  • Handle Adobe-related tasks as required.
  • Adapt to and learn the corporate structure and work with regional managers for expense approvals.
  • Take on additional duties as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in accounts payable processes.
  • Basic Excel skills for spreadsheet management.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles, including debits and credits.
  • Experience in high-volume invoice processing within a large company environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Epicor P21 is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to hit the ground running.
  • Preferably 2 years of accounts payable experience, though candidates with back-office or office manager experience familiar with AP are welcome.
  • Associate degree preferred, but not required.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to transition to a hybrid model after four months. The role is a 6-8 month contract with potential for conversion based on performance. The team consists of approximately 12 members, fostering a culture of flexibility and growth mindset, with opportunities for movement across different teams. Dress code is business casual, and the office provides a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Benefits include BCBS, vision, dental, 401k with a 6% match at 3%, and PTO accrual starting after the first year. Additionally, flexible hours allow for minimized PTO usage.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
