Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing all accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process invoices in a timely manner, ensuring proper approval and accurate coding of expenses.
• Payment Processing: Prepare and execute payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in accordance with company policies and vendor terms.
• Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies, inquiries, and issues.
• Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of all payable transactions and supporting documents.
• Expense Reporting: Assist with preparing reports for management, including aging reports and payment schedules.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards for all transactions.
• Support Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing processes by providing reports and reconciling accounts.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable role or similar position.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
