This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and will work in Elkhart, IN.

About The Position

As an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Finance team, you will be involved in managing the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing payments. This involves processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The specialist is also responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Process and manage the accounts payable function, including matching invoices to purchase orders, coding invoices to the correct general ledger accounts, and preparing payments.
• Set up new vendors/update existing vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable balances to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and answer questions related to accounts payable.
• Assist with month-end close and prepare necessary reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed and organized.
• Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within accounts payable – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
