Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role involves vendor communication, account analysis, and monthly reporting within a hybrid work setup in Edgewood, MD.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in AP, strong PO knowledge, and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, supporting our finance team in daily operations.

• Experience with SAP is highly preferred; otherwise, extensive experience with a similar ERP system is required.
• Strong understanding of a Purchase Order (PO).
• Expertise in AP processes, including 3-way match.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices by receiving them from vendors or suppliers, verifying authenticity, and approving them for payment.
• Complete payments and schedule paychecks to ensure timely receipt for outstanding credit.
• Efficiently manage the payment cycle activities, ensuring all processes are completed in a timely manner.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments, outstanding credits, and other finance-related questions.
• Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly financial reports.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with two days of remote work from home and three days in the office. You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays, providing flexibility and work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edgewood, MD.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.84/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
