Job Summary:


Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the day-to-day processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all payables are recorded accurately, vendors are paid on time, and records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Receive, review, and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
• 
  Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports
• 
  Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
• 
  Prepare and process check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
• 
  Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies
• 
  Reconcile vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries professionally
• 
  Maintain accurate and organized files for all accounts payable records
• 
  Assist with month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and accruals
• 
  Support audits by providing documentation and responding to questions
• 
  Collaborate with procurement and other departments as needed
  
  

Requirements:

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
• 
  Proven experience (1+ years) in accounts payable or general accounting
• 
  Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  Basic understanding of GAAP and internal controls
