Job description

The ideal candidate will have law firm accounts payable experience. Strong organizational skills and an ability to accurately plan, track, record and reconcile vendor expenses is key. This candidate should have experience working across a variety of platforms and comfort with learning new ones.

Accounts Payable Job Duties

• Review (and record, when necessary) invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
• Process expense reports from employees
• Identify discrepancies and escalation in appropriate manner
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end
• Work with billing and legal teams to close out matters

Accounts Payable Qualifications

• 5 years in accounting or related field, focus on accounts payable in law firms
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Bank Reconciliations
• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially basic excel skills
• Must have a bias for action and be comfortable with change, possess adaptability
