Job summary

CSP Composite is a leading Tier One supplier in Auburn Hills, MI, seeking an Accounts Payable/Finance Clerk to support daily invoice processing, data entry, and reporting. You will reconcile statements, perform three-way matching, and ensure timely payments with accuracy in our accounting systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and proficiency in Microsoft Office; pursuing a finance or business degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; pursuing a degree in Finance or Business is preferred.
• Demonstrated competence using Windows applications including Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience; knowledge of business concepts/practices is preferred.
• Experience scheduling and executing outgoing disbursements via check, ACH, and wire transfers; manage payment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electronic and paper files in accounts payable or related area.
• Gathers, assembles, and reviews required documents and records.
• Performs data entry into business systems and spreadsheets with accuracy.
• Runs reports to identify problems, delinquencies, and necessary adjustments.
• Reconciles supplier statements and resolves payment discrepancies; communicates with suppliers.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintains electronic and paper files in area of responsibility, i.e. accounts receivable, accounts payable, or payroll.
• Gathers, assembles, and reviews all required documents and records.
• Responsible for timely and accurate processing and data entry into business system software and spreadsheets.
• Runs reports as requested and on a regular basis to identify problems, delinquent accounts, adjustments needed, etc.
• Process supplier invoices and perform three-way matching (matching invoices, purchase orders, and receivers).
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment discrepancies. Strong attention to detail and effective supplier communication.

Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma. Degree or attending school to obtain a degree in Finance or Business.
• Demonstrated competence in personal computer Windows applications including: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting required. Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used business concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred.
• Must have experience with scheduling and executing outgoing disbursements via check, ACH, and wire transfers. Ability to manage payment schedules according to supplier agreements.
