Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting with a focus on AP and AR. The role ensures accurate invoicing, payments, collections, and reconciliations while maintaining solid vendor and customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, proficiency with ERP systems, and strong Excel skills. This is a full-time position based in Kentucky, with responsibilities spanning month-end close and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to both AP and AR functions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving docs.
• Verify coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records and W-9 documentation.
