Job summary

Ford of Pleasanton in Pleasanton, TX is seeking a dependable Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. You will manage invoices, payments, and customer/vendor balances with accuracy in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Previous automotive dealership experience is preferred, but strong general accounting or bookkeeping backgrounds are encouraged. Proficiency in Excel and Dealertrack DMS helps, and you will collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Dealertrack DMS or similar dealership accounting software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately record vendor invoices, payments, and accounts payable transactions.
• Maintain accounts receivable records, post payments, and monitor outstanding balances.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Assist with daily accounting transactions, deposits, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and dealership departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and preparation of accounting reports.
