Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify vendor information, including addresses and Federal Tax ID numbers when available.
• Review invoices and requisitions for accuracy, proper coding, and required payment approvals.
• Calculate invoice extensions and totals and apply discounts when applicable.
• Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers.
• Prepare payment vouchers with invoice numbers, dates, vendor information, descriptions, amounts, and accounting codes.
• Maintain organized files of vouchers, invoices, payment records, and related correspondence.
• Assist with bank statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare periodic accounting reports and maintain accurate financial records.
• Use Excel to organize, review, and analyze accounting information.
• Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
