Hunter Auto Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support our accounting department with accurate invoice processing, vendor payment administration, and account reconciliation across multiple dealerships.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑volume, detail‑oriented environment, ensuring payments are issued on time and records remain precise; you will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maintain strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Payable, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Payable Clerk, or General Accounting experience required
• Experience processing invoices and managing vendor accounts preferred
• Dealertrack experience is a plus
• Experience with accounting software or dealership management systems is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Review, code, and enter invoices into accounting systems
• Verify supporting documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation
• Manage invoice approvals and payment workflows
• Coordinate scheduled payment runs, including check disbursements and limited ACH transactions
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
• Monitor outstanding invoices and payment schedules
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
• Communicate with vendors regarding account questions and payment status
• Maintain professional vendor relationships through effective communication
• Audit expense reports and credit card statements for accuracy and policy compliance
• Review financial information to identify discrepancies and errors
• Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records
• Support accounting processes that promote operational efficiency and accuracy
