Job summary

River City Correctional Center is seeking an Accounts Payable / Payroll Clerk in Cincinnati, OH. This permanent, full-time role supports the Business Department with accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping and related tasks, including reports and inventory control.

Requirements include a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and strong accuracy, with preferred experience in bookkeeping or cashier work. 40-hour work week and standard office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or cashier roles preferred.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and speed.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests, purchase orders and bills for all agency funds.
• Service resident escrow and program accounts with careful documentation.
• Collect, process and distribute receipts, invoices, packing slips and other docs.
• Data entry and query tasks on computer; maintain records of all transactions.
• Prepare reports and assist staff with department functions.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
