We are partnering with a well established and growing company in Tigard that operates in both the construction and manufacturing industries. They are looking for a dependable, detail oriented Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with numbers, enjoys staying organized, and takes pride in getting the details right! You will be supporting the accounting and payroll functions for two busy operations, working closely with employees, vendors, project teams, and leadership to keep everything running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes ownership of their work, and isn't afraid to ask questions or dig into discrepancies when something doesn't look right. The best part? This is not intended to be a dead end clerical position! The company is growing and wants someone who can grow right along with them. For the right person, there is potential to take on additional responsibilities in accounting, payroll, project accounting, and financial operations down the road!
Experience in construction, manufacturing, job costing, or union payroll would be a huge plus!
Accuracy is EVERYTHING! Whether you are processing invoices, reviewing timecards, or assisting with payroll, we need someone who takes pride in doing things correctly the first time. You must be dependable and organized! There are weekly payroll deadlines, vendor payments, and accounting responsibilities that need to be completed accurately and on time. You need to be comfortable asking questions and solving problems! We don't want someone who simply processes paperwork without thinking. We want someone who notices when something doesn't add up and takes the initiative to figure out why. A great attitude and strong work ethic are essential! While previous accounting and payroll experience is preferred, the company values someone who is eager to learn, takes ownership, and genuinely cares about doing a great job. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants more than just a refund job. We want someone who is excited about joining a growing organization, becoming a trusted member of the team, and building a long term career!
