Opti Staffing is partnering with a local manufacturer in Sherwood, OR to hire a Payroll Specialist. You will own a busy biweekly payroll for up to 300 hourly employees, using ADP, ensuring accuracy and on-time processing.

Qualifications

• Strong previous payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll for up to 300 employees.
• Experience with ADP or similar payroll software, with ADP strongly preferred.
• Experience with hourly employee timekeeping, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or another industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll documentation, reporting, deductions, and reconciliations.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage firm deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and employee service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for up to 300 employees using ADP.
• Manage hourly time tracking for manufacturing employees.
• Review timecards, hours, absences, and payroll information for accuracy before processing.
• Track and report employee absences and incidents.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, timekeeping, benefits, and other payroll matters.
• Generate reports and provide documentation for payroll and HR audits.
• Prepare workers’ compensation payroll reports and participate in audits as required.
• Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and claims.
• Coordinate closely with HR and Accounting to ensure employee information and reporting are accurate.
