Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a dynamic Manager, Accounting Services in Columbus, OH to lead the Accounts Payable team for North America and oversee end-to-end AP operations.

The role reports to the Director of Accounting and partners with Procurement, Vendor Management, and Treasury to implement best practices and scale processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years in AP, 4 years in a leadership role, experience with OCR/IDP technologies, and solid knowledge of government contracting

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounts Payable accounting with strong understanding of AP processes, POs, internal controls, and accruals.
• Minimum 4 years in a leadership role managing finance operations teams, including AP.
• Experience with OCR/IDP technologies in AP environments.
• Familiarity with FAR/JTR and DCAA compliance; multi-currency and tax compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate, timely invoice posting and payments.
• Oversee AP processing for US and Canadian entities, including travel and expense reimbursements.
• Ensure timely month-end close activities related to AP.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Treasury to optimize programs.
• Maintain vendor master data and conduct vendor record changes as needed.
• Prepare AP reports and monitor KPIs to drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain AP policies and support audits.
