Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a dynamic Manager, Accounting Services to lead the AP function for North America, reporting to the Director of Accounting.

You will oversee end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, while leveraging technology to scale operations. You will supervise the AP team, drive continuous improvement, manage vendor records, and partner with Procurement, Treasury, and IT to align financial processes with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of accounts payable experience.
• Minimum 4 years in a leadership role managing finance operations teams, including accounts payable.
• Experience with government contracting regulations (FAR, JTR) including DCAA compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations for US and Canada entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead AP team, drive process improvements and scale operations leveraging technology.
• Manage vendor master records and vendor record modifications in collaboration with Procurement.
• Prepare AP reports, aging, accruals, and monitor KPIs for performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and IT to align financial processes with corporate objectives.
• Support system enhancements and be the AP subject matter expert for ERP/applications.
