Job summary

Troon’s Corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function, set strategy, and develop a high-performing team. The role focuses on controls, 1099 compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to drive automation and efficiency in a dynamic corporate environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in AP with leadership experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. On-site role with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounts payable experience with people management.
• Knowledge of full-cycle AP, vendor data management, and 1099 compliance.
• Proven track record leading teams in a high-volume environment.
• Strong internal controls, banking, and process improvement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own AP strategy, policy, and internal controls across entities.
• Lead, develop, and manage AP staff for high performance.
• Monitor metrics for invoice processing accuracy, timeliness, and 1099 compliance.
• Serve as escalation point for vendor disputes and payment issues.
• Own year-end 1099 reporting and TIN matching coordination.
• Drive AP automation, ERP improvements, and workflow enhancements.
• Support audits related to accounts payable and disbursements.
• Manage month-end close activities and AP reporting.
