Job summary

AgWest Farm Credit in Rocklin, California, seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the Controllers department. This hands-on role supervises accounts payable, fixed assets and expense reimbursements, ensuring accurate financial data and strong internal controls.

You will drive GAAP compliance, coordinate audits, and mentor a team while partnering with leadership on process improvements and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years' experience with oversight of accounts payable, fixed assets, and expense reimbursements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for accounts payable, fixed assets and expense reimbursement functions.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory guidance; conduct necessary research.
• Oversee internal controls within areas of responsibility.
• Participate in projects to design, test, and implement new systems and upgrades.
• Coordinate information for internal/external reviews and audits.
• Represent AgWest's values to staff, customers and communities.
• Lead, coach, and develop employees; manage performance and goals.
• Communicate objectives clearly; serve as liaison between staff and leadership.
• Ensure effective training and onboarding; identify learning gaps.
• Mentor direct reports and create development opportunities.
