H2O Care Partners in Massachusetts is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP department, ensure timely processing of invoices, and maintain strong vendor relationships. The role reports to the Controller and requires managing 25+ entities with weekly AP metrics.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 7+ years in finance or AP, and at least 2 years in a managerial role. Hybrid work 1–2 days in the office, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bill.com, Sage; Chase experience a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the accounts payable team, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and development.
• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices for 25+ entities, expense reports, and payments to vendors and employees. AP volume averages 200 – 300 per week.
• Manage monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
• Prepare and present weekly reports on accounts payable metrics, cash flow forecasting, and vendor performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving any payment issues and ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
• Work closely with other departments, including procurement and finance, to ensure alignment and streamline processes.
• Communication clearly and frequently with partners during implementation phases to ensure a smooth transition of accounts, processes and relationships.
• Perform other related duties as required.
