Job summary

Minnesota Cannabis Services seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to own payables end-to-end, build and coach a team, and maintain precise vendor records across multiple entities. You’ll drive controls, ensure timely payments, and shape the AP function with robust process design.

This is a hands-on leadership role in Edina, MN, with on-site work and growth opportunities. You’ll oversee invoice intake, coding, routing, and payment prep, ensuring alignment with approvals and preventing duplicate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including team supervision.
• Experience handling high-volume AP across multi-entity environments.
• Hands-on with vendor setup, payment runs, and bank portals.
• Knowledge of three-way matching and approval workflows.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or alternatives and advanced Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end payables function for a multi-entity portfolio.
• Lead, coach, and develop 2-3 Accounts Payable Specialists.
• Ensure accurate vendor records, onboarding, and 1099 reporting.
• Oversee payment runs, approvals, and on-time disbursements.
• Maintain controls to prevent fraud and document processes.
• Establish procedures for separation of duties and reconciliations.
