WORK SITE STATUS: Hybrid (4 days/week in the office, Fridays remote).

PAY RANGE: $45 to $60/hour during the temporary period; converts to an estimated $100,000 to $125,000 base salary, based on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

CV Resources, in partnership with our client, a fast-growing lifestyle brand, seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join its Finance and Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will serve as the company’s Accounts Payable subject matter expert (SME)and will be responsible for running a high-volume AP function independently, leading an offshore AP team, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can take full ownership of the department with minimal guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

Accounts Payable Operations

• Oversee full-cycle AP for a high-volume environment, including 3-way matching.
• Prepare the weekly payment run in NetSuite.
• Review the AP aging regularly to ensure vendor balances do not become past due.
• Review coding of all transactions weekly and ensure transactions properly synchronize to NetSuite during month-end close.
• Manage employee reimbursement and corporate credit card platforms.
• Manage an offshore AP team of 5, including monitoring KPIs, tracking tasks, and communicating areas for improvement.
• Set up new vendors in NetSuite, including requesting W-9s, validating TINs, and ensuring vendors properly enter banking details in the vendor portal.
• Issue annual 1099s.
• Respond promptly to vendor and internal team inquiries.

Audit & Process Improvement

• Assess existing AP policies and processes and recommend changes to optimize efficiency.
• Build out and maintain AP standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support the external audit process by pulling support and providing explanations as needed.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

Required

• 5+ years of relevant accounts payable experience, including AP Manager-level experience.
• Experience managing a high-volume AP function with 3-way matching.
• Proven ability to work independently with little guidance.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or other product-based/inventory environments.
• Experience managing an offshore team.
