Job summary

IDT, a Danaher operating company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP team across Coralville, IA or Fargo, ND, on-site. You will drive standardized processes and controls to scale operations and partner with finance leadership to improve efficiency and compliance.

You will oversee payments and invoices, mentor staff, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced life sciences finance environment, ensuring accurate reporting and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or at least 3 years of AP experience.
• At least 1 year of experience managing people.
• Experience with month-end closing, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP, D365 or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, evaluations and discipline.
• Harmonize standardization of AP processes, policies, controls, and performance metrics across sites.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Partner with Senior Manager - Financial Shared Services, Global Controller and stakeholders to support improvements.
• Review and approve payments, invoices and adjustments within authority levels.

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Team. This position reports to the Sr Manager - Financial Shared Services and is part of the Finance and Accounting Team located in Coralville, IA or Fargo, ND and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Accounts Payable team, including employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline that leverages standardized processes, automation, and operational excellence practices to support growth.
• Drive the harmonization of standardization of Accounts Payable processes, policies, controls, and performance metrics across operating companies to improve scalability, efficiency, compliance, and stakeholder experience.
• Ensures adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Partners closely with the Sr. Mgr-Financial Shared Services, the Global Controller and cross-functional Stakeholders to support operational excellence, resolve escalations, and implement process improvements across the AP function.
• Review and approve payments, invoices and adjustments within assigned authority levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR minimum 3 years of related Accounts Payable experience.
• 1+ year of experience managing people.
• Experience supporting month-end closing, accrual preparation and financial reporting activities.
• Experience with SAP, D365 or similar ERP systems.

• Sitting: 67% - 100% of the work day
