Job summary

TalentBridge partners with a rapidly growing organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and transform its AP function. This hands-on role builds scalable processes and develops people within a high-growth environment.

Reporting to a senior accounting executive, you will manage a multi-entity AP team, optimize workflows, and partner with finance, operations, and procurement to close the books efficiently.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading AP teams in high-volume, multi-location or multi-entity environments.
• Strong understanding of AP operations, internal controls, and month-end close activities.
• Demonstrated success improving processes and implementing operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Accounts Payable function within a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
• Coach and develop an AP team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex vendor and payment issues.
• Drive process improvements, workflow automation, and operational efficiencies throughout the AP cycle.
• Partner closely with Accounting leadership on month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
• Ensure timely invoice processing, payment execution, vendor maintenance, and compliance with internal controls.
• Analyze AP metrics to identify trends, improve performance, and reduce processing inefficiencies.
• Build strong relationships with operational leaders and internal stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Support ERP optimization initiatives and future system enhancements.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests while maintaining strong compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.

We're partnering with a rapidly growing organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to help lead and transform its Accounts Payable function.
This is far more than a traditional AP management role. The organization is investing heavily in its finance organization and is looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys building processes, developing people, improving efficiencies, and creating scalable solutions within a high-growth environment.

Reporting directly to an accomplished accounting executive, this individual will play a critical role in strengthening operational excellence while partnering closely with accounting, operations, procurement, and business leaders across the organization.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading AP teams in a high-volume, multi-location or multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of AP operations, internal controls, and month-end close activities.
• Demonstrated success improving processes and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience (Sage Intacct experience is a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across accounting and operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to dive into details while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Experience within private equity-backed, shared services, or rapidly growing organizations is highly preferred.
