Neighborhood Health Center is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function and drive improvements in processes and internal controls from its Buffalo-based operations. The role emphasizes timely invoice processing, vendor payments, and compliance with GAAP in a healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, optimize workflows, and support audit readiness while ensuring accurate financial records and strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AP experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, AP workflows, and audit requirements.
• Comfort with ERP systems and a love for clean, efficient processes.
• FQHC or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel, Sage accounting software, UKG, Liberty Pharmacy Software, Verity Pharmacy software

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle AP, ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
• Build strong relationships, negotiate terms, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Modernize workflows, implement automation, and champion best practices that improve speed, accuracy, and transparency.
• Strengthen financial controls, support audit readiness, and ensure documentation is airtight.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operational teams to ensure financial processes support frontline care delivery.
