Job description

Accounts Payable Lead - Remote

We have a rewarding opportunity for an Accounts Payable Lead to join our Defense Solutions Group!

You will oversee the Accounts Receivable and/or Payable functions of finance for the business units. Responsibilities include checking and verifying cost accounting, maintaining accounts payable records, preparing invoices and vouchers, typing, filing, posting ledger and journal entries, and balancing accounts payable and receivable records. You will use various credit sources to examine existing and potential accounts, oversee customer claim adjustments, and make recommendations to management.

Location: Dayton, OH - Remote

Your Challenge:

  1. Monitor customer history and market information, communicate negative occurrences, and promote positive accounts receivable with low risk, preventing payment delays. (20%)
  2. Ensure compliance with credit policies and collection procedures, establish credit limits, and follow international Letter of Credit policies. (20%)
  3. Analyze payment commitments, manage cash flow, and control transactions related to accounts receivable and payable. (20%)
  4. Use financial resources appropriately to meet deadlines. (20%)
  5. Monitor expenses and budgets, perform daily cash closing, and send documentation to accounting. (20%)

What You Bring:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and mentor team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
  • Expertise in resolving payment and invoicing issues professionally.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex account issues.
  • Deep understanding of accounting regulations, compliance, and best practices in AP/AR processes.
