Job summary

CFS in Independence, OH is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to oversee high-volume invoice processing across 10-15 legal entities, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments. Reporting to the Controller, you will drive process improvements, resolve discrepancies, and manage intercompany transactions while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities, divisions, or business units.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of vendor invoices across multiple companies and business units.
• Review invoice approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues.
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including checks and ACH transactions.
• Manage intercompany transactions and respond to vendor/internal inquiries.

Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for managing high-volume accounts payable activities across 10-15 legal entities. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and process improvements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting best practices.
