Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with invoicing, account reconciliations, expense coding, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and assist with balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reporting.
• Review invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Enter invoices, code expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centers, and process payments by check, ACH, or wire transfer.
• Reconcile vendor statements, accounts payable records, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, missing invoices, discounts, and payment terms.
• Maintain accurate vendor files and communicate with suppliers to resolve questions or discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing, accruals, audits, and management reporting.
• Follow company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
