Job summary

The University of St. Thomas is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to process high-volume payments and support financial operations. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement after a training period, with in-person days typical and one remote day, conducted in Minnesota.

Responsibilities include ensuring GAAP and policy compliance, managing vendor inquiries, and supporting year-end processes and audits. Candidates should have financial accounting experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of administrative support experience in a financial/accounting environment required.
• Preferred: 1–3 years of accounts payable experience.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of payments (invoices, employee expense reports, student reimbursements, check requests, wires, prepaid expenses) accurately and timely.
• Analyze documentation for completeness, accuracy, and policy requirements.
• Identify and resolve invoice and check problems with vendors and university departments.
• Understand and apply university policies, GAAP, and governmental regulations.
• Facilitate weekly check runs and processing, including stop payments and reissues.
