Job summary

Lennar is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator in Charleston. You will support the accounting team by coding invoices, processing vendor checks, and managing utility bills through Metaviewer, ensuring timely closings.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in AP, Excel/Word proficiency, and JD Edwards experience preferred; homebuilding background is a plus. In-person work at company communities and offices is expected.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor of Science in accounting/finance preferred.
Minimum of two years in office and accounts payable roles.
Experience in homebuilding industry is a plus.
Intermediate MS Word/Excel proficiency; JD Edwards preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and code invoices accurately, then submit to the Regional Accounting Center.
Set up and provide information for processing utility bills via Metaviewer.
Ensure timely transfer or cutoff of utility bills when a home closes.
Set up vendors, manage vendor files, and file invoices.
Manage voids, open accounts payable, and maintain ABR records.
Process check requests and prepare checks for mailing and distribution.
Prepare weekly payment register and obtain Controller approval before submission.
Reconcile past-due invoices and resolve discrepancies with business partners.
Meet all weekly cutoffs, time schedules, and month-end deadlines.
