Charlie Clark Auto Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Harlingen, TX. The role focuses on processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining ledgers to ensure accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of AP or related experience, strong Excel/Word proficiency, and attention to detail. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with on-site responsibilities and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of collections, accounts payable or public accounting preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining payment authorization.
• Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolve discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintain historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
