Job description

Job Summary

The essential functions of this position include the ongoing review and recommendation of actions required to maintain accurate and timely information concerning A/R, A/P and G/L balances and all support required to provide up-to-date information to management and corporate for operations analysis and financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Proficient in high volume vouchering of PO (3-way match) including intercompany invoices and non-Purchase Order.
  • Timely resolution of discrepancies between invoices, purchasing, and receiving
  • Timely check run, ACHs, and wires
  • Experience with annual filing of 1099s
  • Perform due diligence on new or changes on vendor information and maintain proper documentation
  • Prepare list of expense accrual at month-end
  • Suggest and implement system and process improvements to support higher efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate monthly, quarterly and yearly information to management after having reviewed with Accounting Manager.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Conduct research as needed on G/L accounts.
  • Adheres to company policy and SOX A/P control processes.

Qualifications

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem solving skills and computer proficiency.
  • Computers and software including MANMAN, Fixed Asset Software, Excel, Word, and Outlook; 10-key; telephone.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years accounting experience in an Accounts Payable job function.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and experience working with integrated business systems (preferably Syteline, etc.)
  • Good written and verbal communication.
