Job summary

Encompass Health is a leader in inpatient rehabilitation, seeking an AP Analyst to ensure accurate and timely processing of hospital invoices. You will handle non-PO invoices, collaborate with hospital buyers, and work closely with controllers and home office accounting to ensure proper accruals.

This onsite role requires sitting at the Birmingham, AL home office and offers opportunities in a growing national leader in rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• 2 years accounts payable experience required, preferably in healthcare.
• Oracle Fusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes Hospital Invoices in a timely manner as Home Office AP Analyst.
• Monitors AP Dashboard daily for invoices in Needs Validation, Needs Revalidation, Rejected or Approval Required status.
• Checks hospital invoice email inbox daily for new invoices to be processed manually for non-EDI vendors.
• Collaborates with hospital AP liaison to process non-PO invoices, validating to internal hospital data sources.
• Works with hospital buyer to resolve invoice quantity or price holds.
• Communicates issues preventing invoices from processing to hospital Controller.
• Ensures accurate accruals are submitted for financial reporting with Home Office Accounting.
• Processes new vendor and correction information via Supplier Onboarding.
• Verifies accuracy of entered data prior to payment.
• Assists hospitals/vendors with invoice or Fusion issues.
• Reviews outstanding balances with vendors to ensure timely processing.
• Position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL.

Position Purpose

Responsible for accurate and timely Accounts Payable processing as assigned by the supervisor in accordance with Company policy and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Processes Hospital Invoices in a timely manner in the role of Home Office AP Analyst.

  • Work AP Dashboard daily for invoices in “Needs Validation, “Needs Revalidation,” “Rejected” or “Approval Required” status

  • Monitor hospital’s invoice email inbox daily for any new invoices to be processed manually for non-EDI vendors.

  • Collaborates with hospital AP liaison to process non-PO invoices, validating to internal hospital data sources such as eTime or Outside Services Log.

  • Works closely with hospital’s buyer to resolve any invoice quantity or price holds.

  • Documents and routinely communicates to hospital Controller any issues preventing invoices from processing.

  • Works closely with hospital Controller and Home Office Accounting to ensure accurate accruals are submitted for financial reporting.

• Processes new vendor/and correction information submitted through Supplier Onboarding.

• Verifies accuracy of entered data prior to payment.

• Assists hospitals/vendors with invoice or Fusion issues.

• Reviews any outstanding account balances with vendors ensuring invoices are processed timely.

• This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
  2 years accounts payable experience required, preferably in healthcare
  Oracle Fusion experience preferred
