Job summary

WA River Protection Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to support the full invoice-to-payment process for the Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure program in Richland, WA. You will handle vendor invoices, payment authorizations, and related records while ensuring timely and accurate processing.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and knowledge of routine AP workflows, with a focus on maintaining IDMS records and supporting various payment cycles.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma required with 8–10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HS Diploma required with 10+ years of related experience; strong familiarity with internal systems and business software.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming subcontractor invoices and vouchers and support email workflows related to revisions, vendor statements, and payment inquiries.
  • Process incoming material purchase order invoices and vouchers and participate in resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support check run process via audit reports, posting payment authorizations, and monitoring payment dates.
  • Maintain timely follow up and accurate documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in IDMS.
  • Review, file, and update recurring AP reports.
  • Perform routine AP duties including mail distribution, queue monitoring, and inbox organization.
  • General clerical duties as needed.

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup effort. Every day, our teams work to safely remove, treat, and dispose of 56 million gallons of legacy tank waste at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.

The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for supporting the full invoice to payment process, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing responsive support to vendors, buyers, and internal departments. This role ensures that invoices, payment authorizations, and related documents are processed efficiently and accurately while upholding strong communication and organizational practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Process incoming subcontractor invoices and vouchers and support ongoing email workflows related to revisions, vendor statements, and payment inquiries.

  • Processing incoming material purchase order invoices and vouchers and participate in resolution of discrepancies.

  • Support check run process via audit reports, posting payment authorizations, and monitoring payments dates

  • Maintain timely follow up and accurate documentation for assigned tasks

  • Maintain up to date records in IDMS

  • Review, file, and update recurring AP reports

  • Perform routine AP responsibilities that support the department's workflow, including mail distribution, monitoring queues, and maintaining organized inboxes.

  • General clerical duties as needed.


Required Qualifications

Grade 6/7:



  • HS Diploma and 8-10 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Working knowledge of commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, internal software and/or internal organization business systems.


Grade 8:



  • HS Diploma and 10+ years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Extensive working knowledge of commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, internal software and/or internal organization business systems.


Desired Qualifications


  • Experience in Accounts Payable or related financial discipline

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.

  • Ability to perform large amounts of data entry quickly and accurately.

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, track follow ups, and maintain organized workflows.

  • Knowledge of Asset Suite, IDMS, PeopleSoft, SharePoint

  • Experience with DOE or other federal agencies


Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.


Hiring Range Minimum: $54,575


Hiring Range Maximum: $83,450
